I'm deeply excited to introduce VanWalk's first collaboration, the BC Entertainment Hall of Fame Starwalk!
When I moved to Vancouver in 2000, looking for fame and fortune, I would often come down to Granville Street to check out the action. I would ponder the names on the Starwalk and wonder how they found their place, etched into the sidewalk for all to see. For me, it wasn't important what they did specifically, just that they had done something that was worth remembering.
A lot of these names aren't household names. Perhaps they were are some point, and have since faded away. But a lot of the people on the Starwalk made a name for themselves out of the limelight. Their accomplishments may have been legendary amongst their peers, but maybe were not documented as much in the press. It can many looking then up difficult. I'm proud to be able to present the stories collected by the Hall of Fame in once place, easily accessible for anyone with a mobile device to only.
The biggest names are in front of and nearby the Commodore Ballroom. But try to check out some of the lesser known names. There are some great people around here.
