I spent the summer of 2021 wandering around Stanley Park, researching and preparing the content for the two Stanley Park routes. These two routes ended up being more complicated than the previous routes, and I had to make some code changes in the app to allow for an enhanced user experience while walking those routes.

The addition of all the Stanley Park data also caused some new performance issues with the app. I was expecting that, I just didn't know how much data was going to be too much. Luckily I thought of a way to redo the app that would fix the performance issue, and also give the app more focus on listing the routes. More on that when the app update is published.

Around that time, I also got the design for the updated site from Mayra. I decided to hold off on the Stanley Park launch in favour of redoing the app and getting the new website published. It was also getting to be the fall of 2021, so waiting until the spring of 2022 for a stronger Stanley Park launch made more sense.

The new website is now ready to go live, and it looks great! I'm also hoping to publish the updated app very soon. At that point I'll have to decide to just publish the Stanley Park routes, or to do some beta testing first.
